I love Villefrance Sur Mer - I love the old town with it's small alleyways and quaint streets. Last year I stumbled across this square - Place Felix Poullan to find a replica of painting that the artist Armand Ingenbleek painted of the same square in 1927. ( see photo 3 ) I loved the fact that the buildings remained unchanged and that the tree was still there. It seemed the perfect place to sit and draw for a few hours.

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
