I have always loved camper vans. Growing up we had a caravan, which was great, but I dreamt of one day owning a camper. I just love the idea of compact living, being able to take off where you want, when you want.
When I was 40, I rented an old VW camper for a week - they had so many different vans to choose from and although I didn't select this one, I just loved it's stripy top and knew that one day I would create an etching of it. And here it is.
It is a zinc plate etching measuring 8 x 6 cm.
Each print is hand - pulled on my Gunning press and printed on Hahnemuhle 300g natural paper.
It is an edition of 65, signed and numbered in pencil on front

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
