I drew this on my first day in Porto. I was just getting acquainted with the city and this lovely square was right next to where I was staying, the statue pays homage to Infante D. Henrique - the most important figure of the beginning of the Portuguese discoveries - who, according to tradition, was born nearby, in the so-called Casa do Infante, in 1394.
It was a great way to unwind after an early flight and a rather long walk to my hotel !
