When planning my trip to Switzerland I knew I had to factor in a stay in Vevey - home to Hotel Du Lac - the setting for Anita Brookners novel of the same name and one of my all time favourites.I treated myself to a night in the hotel and it was a total joy. The room itself was magnificent and I knew I had to draw the view of the mountains from my hotel window - it's one of my favourite drawings from the whole trip and I have it framed on the wall.

This replica drawing from my sketchbook can be purchased with or without the seam of the sketchbook visible. Please select your preference.

My name is Sam,  I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I moved back to the countryside after living in London for 22 years and I now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too! 

When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
