At the start of 2021 I decided that I would like to document my life (and Marple's) here at Holly Tree Cottage through a series of monthly linocuts. This is February . In February, I spent so much time bird watching - I became captivated by the hierarchy of the bird table. There was the crow sitting menacingly in the tree, sweeping down periodically, the sparrows were consistent in their nibbling and the pigeons just monitored at ground level. You can see Marple and I hunkering down, keeping warm, in the bottom left hand corner - I'm always the fox like character in my prints.

My name is Sam, I'm a printmaker working from my studio in rural Northamptonshire. I've recently left London after 22 years and am now enjoying the fresh air, open skies and wildlife of my new life in the country. Miss Marple my ever faithful mini dachshund loves it too!
When I'm not making work/ running workshops / coaching from my studio then I'm travelling around the UK and Europe with my sketchbook.
